Longleat
A historic Elizabethan estate and working safari park offering conferences, weddings, filming and exclusive-use events within 9,000 acres of Wiltshire countryside.
About Longleat
Longleat combines one of Britain's best-known stately homes with a year-round safari park, formal gardens, lakeside event spaces, and a purpose-built conference venue. The estate accommodates everything from board dinners and product launches to large corporate away days, exclusive-use events, and multi-faith weddings.
The venue is particularly distinctive for combining historic interiors, wildlife experiences, and large-scale outdoor event capability within a single private estate. Corporate groups can pair conferences with safari tours, VIP animal encounters, jungle cruises and enrichment workshops in a way traditional hotels cannot replicate.
Why bookers choose Longleat
A safari park as part of the event experience
Few venues globally can combine conferences or weddings with giraffe encounters, a drive-through safari, a jungle cruise and behind-the-scenes animal experiences within the same programme.
Historic and modern spaces on one estate
The venue combines Elizabethan state rooms within Longleat House alongside the purpose-built Longhouse event venue and extensive outdoor grounds.
Exceptional outdoor event scale
The estate includes around 900 acres of Capability Brown parkland, lakeside lawns, gardens and large-scale outdoor event infrastructure suited to marquee events, launches and festivals.
Strong fit for experiential corporate events
Corporate groups can combine conferences with safari tours, enrichment workshops, VIP animal encounters, treasure hunts and outdoor activities in a way traditional hotels cannot replicate.
Exclusive-use potential
Longleat offers exclusive-use hire of the wider estate, including attractions and safari experiences, on selected dates and subject to availability.

Great Hall
Elizabethan state room for ceremonies, dinners and corporate entertaining

Civil ceremony licence confirmed. Historic state room within Longleat House.
Orangery
Historic conservatory overlooking gardens and lake
A conservatory space built around 1807, positioned beside the Love Labyrinth rose garden and overlooking Half Mile Lake. The gardens and lakeside setting make it particularly strong for daytime celebrations and photography-led events.
Civil ceremony licence confirmed; adjacent garden access.
Green Library
Intimate historic library for smaller ceremonies and dining
An intimate event room with wood-panelled walls and floor-to-ceiling bookcases, lit by a chandelier and suited to smaller-scale private occasions. The historic library atmosphere creates a very different feel from larger stately home event rooms.

Lord Bath's Banqueting Suite
Eclectic penthouse-style suite for executive and VIP events
A distinctive suite reflecting the decorative style of the late 6th Marquess of Bath, dividing into separate spaces for dining and breakout activity. The private upper-floor setting gives executive groups a more secluded experience within the estate.
Multi-room layout. Available for wedding receptions; civil ceremony licence status to be confirmed with venue.
The Bath Arms
Estate-edge country inn with accommodation and private dining
An 18th-century country inn at Horningsham on the edge of the Longleat estate, run independently by the Beckford Group. Around a 20-minute walk through the estate to Longleat House, it provides accommodation and smaller-scale hospitality close to the main event spaces.
16 en-suite bedrooms (some upstairs, some in the stable block); award-winning food and drink with meat and game from the Longleat estate. Operated by the Beckford Group, separately from Longleat's own event team.
Estate Grounds & Lakeside Spaces
Large-scale outdoor event areas within Capability Brown parkland
Longleat's grounds include formal gardens, lawns, lakeside marquee space, woodland and large open parkland suitable for outdoor events and installations. The scale of usable outdoor land is significantly beyond most UK conference or stately home venues.
