Lee Valley VeloPark
An Olympic legacy venue in East London offering conferences, exhibitions, corporate events and cycling experiences inside the London 2012 velodrome.
About Lee Valley VeloPark
Lee Valley VeloPark combines large-scale event infrastructure with one of the UK's most recognisable sporting backdrops. Located within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, the venue centres around the 250m Olympic velodrome track, surrounded by conference and exhibition space, breakout pods and outdoor cycling facilities. It is the only place in the UK where all four Olympic cycling disciplines can be done on one site.
The venue has hosted corporate conferences and exhibitions for companies including Facebook, Barclays and Cancer Research UK, and has appeared as a filming location for productions such as Black Mirror, Strictly Come Dancing and BBC The One Show. The flagship Track Centre hosts conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and product launches, while integrated cycling experiences make it an unusually distinctive corporate away day venue.
Why bookers choose Lee Valley VeloPark
Events inside a genuine Olympic venue
The Track Centre sits within the active velodrome used during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Few venues can offer an event backdrop with this level of sporting recognition and atmosphere.
A highly unusual corporate away day venue
Cycling experiences can be integrated directly into event programmes, including track cycling, BMX, road circuit sessions, mountain biking and timed lap challenges.
Strong exhibition and production infrastructure
The Track Centre includes four large built-in HD screens, venue-wide PA, extensive power access and exhibition-ready floor space, making it practical for trade shows and branded activations as well as conferences.
Excellent East London transport connectivity
The venue benefits from Stratford's rail, Underground, Overground, DLR and HS1 links, making it unusually accessible for a venue of this scale within London.
Flexible breakout spaces overlooking the track
The 13 concourse pods wrap around the velodrome interior with floor-to-ceiling track views, giving breakout sessions and hospitality spaces a much stronger sense of place than conventional meeting rooms.
Spaces
Track Centre
A large-scale event floor inside the Olympic velodrome
The Track Centre is the venue's flagship hire space, positioned at the centre of the velodrome and enclosed by the 250m Olympic track. Events take place within full sight of the steeply banked cycling track and spectator seating, delivering a genuinely distinctive environment that immediately feels different from conventional conference or exhibition spaces. Common setups include theatre conferences, exhibition floorplans, awards dinners, product displays and sporting activations.
Four large HD display screens (5.76m x 3.20m each), suitable for branding or live content. Venue-wide PA system included. Underfloor heating. Natural and ceiling lighting up to 2,000 lux. 25 power outputs (mostly twin), with 32A and 63A 3-phase access subject to additional charges. 25 floor data outlets plus additional multi-port outlets. Concourse Pods
Modular breakout and hospitality pods overlooking the velodrome
The venue's 13 pods sit around the perimeter of the velodrome concourse with floor-to-ceiling glazing overlooking the track. They keep delegates visually connected to the velodrome while allowing more focused conversations and smaller group activity. Common setups include breakout workshops, drinks receptions, meeting pods, private hospitality and exhibitor or retail stands. Two pods are fitted with bi-fold doors for additional privacy.
Floor-to-ceiling windows with natural light, track-facing glazing, power sockets and WiFi access. Two pods include bi-fold doors for additional privacy.
Road Circuit
A floodlit one-mile circuit for events and team challenges
The Road Circuit loops around the venue exterior and includes bridges crossing the River Lea. It is fully enclosed and floodlit, and the Olympic Park setting creates a safer and more structured environment than public-road cycling experiences. Common setups include timed lap challenges, mass participation cycling and branded activations.
6-metre-wide smooth tarmac circuit, wide enough for two vehicles side by side. Fully floodlit. Can split into three shorter sections. Fenced and enclosed for exclusive access. Timing hut and start/finish line with access to power. Off-road space for event infrastructure, tents, gazebos and catering. Changing facilities and toilets easily accessible.
Velodrome Track
Olympic-standard indoor cycling track for group experiences
The velodrome track itself is available for structured group cycling sessions and away day experiences. Very few people ever experience riding on an Olympic velodrome track, which makes the activity highly memorable for teams and clients.
