Venues.org.uk revamps website
Over the past couple of months Venues.org.uk has been undergoing a revamp of the website. We have re-branded the logo and incorporated some new features to the homepage to enhance the user experience and to give key areas a greater focus.
Venues.org.uk has been running for 15 years making us the longest established venue directory in the UK. As a leader in the industry it is important that we constantly look for ways to enhance the look and feel of the website. The Venues logo was re-branded as part of this modernisation process.
New image links have been added to the right hand side of the homepage to allow quicker access for users searching for popular terms like special offers, events, conference venues, Christmas party venues and wedding venues.
The new Venues of the month feature allows a venue to display a rotating image with a link to their profile or website via our homepage in prime position. There is a maximum of six venues rotating at any one time. This is proving to be a sought after feature for 2013 as it greatly increases a venue’s exposure on the website.

Apart from rebranding with a new venues logo, we have enhanced both the special offers and the events sections on our home page to give better access and more visibility to our listed venues. We have also introduced a new ‘venue of the month’ feature that can help publicise existing member venues, or link to venues not already on the site.
“With nearly one million monthly visits to the site, our growing Twitter and Facebook feeds, our unique Live Chat facility and our opted in database of 64,000 venues, agents, event bookers, planners and venue suppliers, venues.org.uk remains the biggest UK venue directory site and we will continue to look for ways to innovate and improve our service in the future for our loyal client base.”
