Manchester venue to get £1.5 million overhaul
Event space in the City Of Manchester Stadium is to be upgraded this summer, it has been announced.
Manchester City Football Club will invest £1.5 million in the project, which will see all executive boxes upgraded to platinum standard. The dining area, called the Boardroom, will be refurbished and there will be increased executive seating in the stands, Event magazine reported.
In addition, a new bar and seating area will be created in Legends, an event space which celebrates the club's football stars.
The City Of Manchester Stadium hosts conferences, weddings and other events. It features a number of suites for meetings, including the Mancunian, which has views of the stadium, and the 1984, which is suitable for building seminars and conferences, while the East Executive Concourse can accommodate up to 1,200 for a theatre-style meeting.
Work is expected to be finished in August, ahead of the new football season.
