Beef up your fam trip

Never underestimate the importance of a Fam Trip Take time out to learn about your destination and itinerary, research the destination, transportation and your hosts Ask lots of questions Talk to fellow visitors. Don’t just latch on to the person sitting next to you on the coach, make sure you circulate. It is a wonderful networking opportunity Play your part. As an employee you are representing you company so it is important you remain professional at all times. Even if parts of the trip are uninteresting, or not to your liking, express your comments discreetly, most organisers will appreciate any form of feedback. If you suddenly find you’re unable to attend, let your hosts know as soon as possible. This will give them the chance to offer you place to someone else. Make a careful note of what you saw and what you thought, you will need to report back to your company and this is difficult if you haven’t kept any records. Ask the tourist board or host for further information, it is in their interests to do so and will help you later Please ensure you write to thank your hosts, it is standard business practice
